My article is penned down to cancel all cluelessness of our national leaders. This is to confirm that our leaders don’t learn anything from history to avoid the mistakes of the past whose negative effects are still undermining our development, The government have gotten a lot of rot to the educational system, a system that produces any other sector and personlities in the nation, without a doubt we are all products of a teacher. What is happening today reinforces fears that our national leaders don’t know how to do politics to enhance our democracy. Finally, Unpaid workers salaries after weeks of receiving Bail out fund from the FG by some state governors exposes the folly of the government and will definitely turn whatever goodwill it has in the ranks of Education into hemlock which will deliver a devastating blow to future generation because a hungry teacher will perform exam malpractise for money, would extort from student and finally suspend class tutoring, a trend that will hamper development, and a system that will produce people who passed through school not those who school passed through.
The NLC and the government seems to have boxed itself into a tight corner and will, undoubtedly, join its predecessors as a failure in this regard. It doesn’t seem to be providing the incentives for redressing unpaid salaries, No follow up, It now months after bail out fund was provided workers in many state are yet to get a dime, while political appointees are getting paid before the end of the month, so whatsup? their reward in heaven?. Instead, government seems to be following in the deplorable footsteps of its predecessors, Please Shall our teachers labour in vain? Definately, they will sin and miss heaven were we all thought their rewards are stockpiled at, Let the change reflects in our educational system.
Let our teachers and workers labour not be in vain, they work to gain.
