It was a tragic moment on Friday night in the Idimu area of Lagos as a A 53-year-old woman died after jumping into a well. The woman, identified as Amoke Adeoko, 53, was reported to have deliberately jumped into a 130 feet deep well in her apartment at 5 Ajilekege Street, Pipeline Bus Stop, Idimu. Confirming the incident, the Director, Lagos State Fire Service, Rasak Fadipe, said the tragedy occurred on Friday night, adding that the woman was brought out from the well already dead around 11:05pm by firemen from Ikotun, supported by Alausa Fire Station. He added that the woman could have been mentally challenged and had been abandoned by her children. “The woman was said to be in control of one of the storey buildings in the compound which her late husband left behind for her.
