Barcelona mega-star, Lionel Messi has just added another ‘plus’ against Real Madrid super-star, Cristiano Ronaldo in the never-ending race to be the best player in the world.

Ronaldo is generally renowned to hold the advantage when it comes to free-kicks, but after Messi’s showing in the Super Cup on Tuesday night, that may no longer be the case.

The Argentine scored two direct free-kicks in one match for the first time in his career, with just nine minutes separating the strikes.

Ronaldo, meanwhile, has scored just two free kick goals in 16 months.

That means Messi has matched 16 months’ worth of Ronaldo free kicks in just 540 seconds.

The level at which messi improves still baffles some football fans,ronaldo is good but his skills and abilities are declining,the guy now find it difficult to dribble a player which is not like ronaldo of 2007,2008 even till 2010.he doesn't play as playmaker anymore but as a goal poacher always waiting in the box to tap in goals
