O boy, I just freeze. I couldn't say anything for about 30secs... I was about opening my mouth when another member of the panel said that I shouldn't mind. I was really heart broken.


Abeg any one with the answer, make he help me just in case of next time.

All these mumu employers wey like dey ask rubbish questions, they always want to amuse themselves using job seekers and its not nice at all. Went for an interview once which had 2 white men in the panel.. They were the ones giving me morale sef.. My own fellow black man just dey rush me like say i carry him wife..

This is the problem I have with HR people especially in Africa. They think they're doing you a favour by even inviting you to an interview.

An interview should be a two way interaction. The candidate sells himself on why he should get the job and the HR sells the company on why the candidate should strive to get the job.
But what we have is a HR that thinks they're there to fail candidates and make jest of them, when most of them do not even have answers to the questions they ask.

Most interview questions we have these days are totally useless and meaningless. Questions like "If you were an animal, what animal would it be?" " What are your greatest weaknesses?" Where do you see yourself in 5 years?" Shouldn't be heard in this century. And that's why candidates should stop answering such questions.

Also knowing the question behind that question is important. Its more or less rephrase : how can you get desired result? Simply with given resources. But guy no go explain frying egg with water oh

Oga....if u dey panel u no go ask worse? I think they are just technical.....testing ones intellect....for that animal thing I go for horse, greatest weakness? Bros none, in 5yrs from now? I should have learnt, grown and positively impacted to the company and looking forward to another 5yrs.......but na correct rehearsals they want us to do b4 attending interview....

I don't forget my interview with pal pension....... Why are you not married at 25? The man abuse me ehn......but after that I decide to take charge of any interview I go for. Somehow you don't let dem ask such question but remember this: most interview panel is made up of the MD(reps), HR(reps) and the head of your assumed department

Am not trying to justify my silence on the question, but there are some questions that throw candidates off balance. I never expected such... and my mind was telling to answer that "it depends ingredients on how and how the person wants it." but before I could say anything, one of them just interrupted me. I jst feel so bad now.

Anyway I think they wanted to check how confident you are, and maybe how fast you think or observe things around.

Simply, you should have started saying something.

U overload ur brain with so much crap that u can no longer think of your own personal opinion and answers. All the answers u gave above were generated by a human being like u and me, and almost everybody is going to give those same answer, because they also read it online like u. So where does your own opinion come in?

Btw, all those answers you gave don't in any way show that you can do the job. Anybody can memorize and recite those stuff.
