Xiaomi's latest handset, the Redmi Note 2 , went up for
sale in China over the weekend, netting up over 800,000
sales in the first 12 hours. Xiaomi's not new to strong
sales figures during flash sales, with the impressive
showing of the Redmi Note 2 allowing the vendor to
create a new sales record in its home market.
Part of the reason for the high amount of interest in the
Redmi Note 2 is the MediaTek Helio X10 SoC, the same
processor used by HTC in its One M9+, a phone that
costs four times as much as Xiaomi's offering. Other
specs on offer with the Redmi Note 2 include a 5.5-inch
full-HD display, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory
(Redmi Note 2 Prime comes with 32GB storage), 13MP
camera, 5MP front camera, Wi-Fi ac, dual-SIM 4G
connectivity and a 3,020mAh battery along with the
latest MIUI 7 operating system. All for a price tag that
starts at just $140.

We don't know when Xiaomi will bring the Redmi Note 2
to other markets, but we should be hearing more from
the manufacturer's plans for the handset during the MIUI
7 global launch event on August 19.

My question is , Is this the End of overpriced Samsung and Co phones??
