DELTA State Government is to provide modern educational facilities in public schools in the state, the state Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Chiedu Ebie, has said.
Ebie, who disclosed this during his familiarization visit to the Chairman and members of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) in Asaba, noted that the present administration in the state under Governor Ifeanyi Okowa was irrevocably committed towards bringing qualitative education to Deltans.
While calling for sustained efforts in sanitizing primary education in the state for enhanced service delivery and productivity, the commissioner commended the management of SUBEB for its relentless commitment towards primary education in the state.
Speaking further, the Commissioner urged stakeholders in education sector to re-double their efforts in promoting hard work in the sector, pointing out that all hands must be on deck in the maintenance of educational facilities in the sector.
Responding, the Executive Chairman of SUBEB, Mr. Elijah Ologe, who thanked the commissioner for his visit to the Board, assured him of the commitment of staff and management of the board in ensuring efficient and effective service delivery as well as bringing education to the people at the grassroots in the state as encapsulated in the educational policies and programmes of the state government.
