The Republican candidate, Donald Trump is leading other contestants for the party’s ticket, recording 25% in opinion poll while his closest rival, Jeb Bush, pulling 13%. As things stand, and given the influence of Trump within the party, he is likely to fly the party’s ticket. This however, may not translate to victory for the Republicans due to his disposition towards migrants who constitute bulk of the United States votes.
