I had previously mentioned that for This country to industrialize ,it must look to the east..i was partially right!

For This country to industrialize,it MUST look to not just the EAST but also the WEST.

God punish the People (and their linages) who have continued to Play our ethnic differences against us.

If we have leaders who understand the strenght in our differences,This country would be at the top calling the shots with the US,china ,the UK and Japan.

Take a look at People who have placed This country on the World map for positive things and you see an equal Mix of yorubas and igbos. Fact! (even in negative things, both tribes contribute equally grin)

I believe that we must look to the east if we must build our manufacturing sector BUT we must also look to the west for administrative skills to grow those companies...
a Perfect combination if you ask me!

But there are IT companies that are doing better than 60% of the ones you have here. You will never hear anything about them and they are making it big in terms of their ROI mostly especially in VAS telecoms and Business solutions.

MY OPINION.

There are also 9 Yorubas there too so calm down -- though I counted 8 igbos (remove Essien, Abasiama, Sim, and Effiong and you are left with 8 igbos, which is still very commendable). Opeke, Tayo, seriki, Adenuga, Olaniran, Jegede, Akindele, Odefuye, Adewunmi.

Besides, Adenuga and Opeke alone will swallow up the rest of them in terms of value.

igbo and yoruba combination will overtake USA as world power. The yoruba media have tried to paint igbos as traders who only do buying and selling in open markets and streets but any list like this one always prove them wrong. if only the almajiri and agberos could learn trading, nigeria would have been better

Guy relax. Igbos will hold theirs anytime in a lot of fields which is highly commendable. The only problem I see with the group is their rabid superiority complex. They are no less nor better than anybody else. The SS, especially the AKS/Cross Rivers Axis, is also well represented on this Tech list with Essien , Editi, and Abasiama, especially when you consider their relatively smaller population. Sim Shagata represents Plateau/North which isn't too encouraging coz the North could definitely do better. A breakdown of the list shows 3 SS, 8 SE, 9 SW, and 1 North.

You be Ode paraku. Dangote and Adenuga are both 1 and 2 in Nigeria and Africa, and if you don't like that then you can go and hang or better yet go and bribe Forbes to add your own preferred list of igbo men. You sound so ignorant coz in your little world everything must revolve around igbos. According to your warped logic, Orji kalu sef and other igbos on Forbes must've also bribed Forbes abi? Smh for you.
Dude leave us the Igbos alone
Ogini?
Igbo this Igbo that
Do u know that the civil war took the Igbos 3yrs backward.

Yinmu. The guy I responded to was the one who mentioned me so calm the fvck down. So whose fault is it that the Igbos instigated a war they ended up losing? Are they the only group that has recovered from war? Japan and Germany suffered worse humiliation and defeat, South Korea also survived a civil war and they have all moved on and are thriving today so quit sulking. There's nothing special about Igbos condition since the war. Nigeria has tried to reintegrate them since the civil war ended. If Yorubas were in igbo shoes we would also have no choice than to rebuild and move on with life, so get off your high horses and quit spamming my mention.

you can talk anything you want but don't compare Germany that was rebuilt by allied forces after the war to what happened to igbos after civil war in nigeria..south Korea was left on its own to develop with backing from usa..i am sure you were not talking about north korea

Don't you get tired of recycling this same old tired line over and over? Development isn't dependent on the number of empty "mansions" that only get inhabited during Christmas and Easter festivities.

What exactly did the colonial masters build in the SW? Awolowo is reputed to have rightly boasted that he developed the SW in his short stint at the helm than the Colonialists did throughout their stay. The tallest building in Africa at the time and its first skycraper at Ibadan, Cocoa House, was built by Awo (till today no single SE building is as tall as this structure) First tv station in Africa was built by Awo, Nigeria's university with the most cutting edge design till date, OAU, was built by Awo. Ibadan was practically the capital of Nigeria during the 50s with a population that outstripped even Lagos, if you doubt this go ask your elders.

Oyo and Ogun are still miles ahead of any SE state in terms of industrial and economic value and output, that is all that matters.

Yorubas did not suffer a civil war therefore our century old buildings even with their rusty roofs are still standing today. They are testament to our early urbanization and civilization, same way the original buildings in Florence Italy are still standing today even with their rusty roofs.

You all can keep your skylines and "mansions" while we keep building industrial and more economically viable infrastructures. cheesy Little wonder your people find our rusty roofed cities irresistible, in spite of all your "mansions" and skylines cheesy

If to say development is about skylines, AKS and Calabar would easily replace Lagos. cheesy

Poppycock! Context, please. Nigeria clearly did not have the resources of the U.S to have embarked on a similar "Marshall plan" to reconstruct your region. Gowon may not have satisfied you all with the amount of attention y'all expected, considering how many other states and underdeveloped parts of the country were and are still begging for attention at the sane time. After all, the SE region was fully reintegrated back into the fold politically as your kinsman became VP and used the influence of that office to divert some development to that region. Besides, your states also receive monthly federal allocation so what are we talking about?

Yes, he did make that stvpid statement. I call it stvpid coz even his own Plateau state could've benefitted some from that money let alone the rest of Nigeria.
