FORMER Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Demcoratic Party, PDP, Chief Olabode George, yesterday, berated former governor of Lagos State, Mr Babatunde Fashola for allegedly spending N78 million to build a website, describing the move as a “reckless misappropriation.”bode-george-fashola

George, who called on President Muhammadu Buhari to investigate the alleged misappropriation, said Fashola’s defence is unjustifiable. In a statement entitled: Neither Fashola nor Tinubu, the PDP chieftain urged the president to probe the administration of Fashola and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, in his fight against corruption.

George said: “We are living in a very interesting time. There is an air of repugnancy everywhere.

Most specifically in my state where the immoral stench and the dark odium of Mr Babatunde Fashola’s regime is daily being unearthed. The so called poster boy of yesterday is now being revealed in pure pollutant largeness, reeking of sharp practices and financial untidiness.”

In addition, he said “What is most disgusting and annoying in all these is the arrogant and the befuddled attempt of Mr Fashola to justify the apparent reckless misappropriation of Lagos State tax payers money to set up a personal web site. Fashola shows no remorse, no semblance of regret, no guilty nudging of conscience. Instead, he still attempts to ride a high horse, puffing and stomping in feigned seraphic innocence. We are not fooled.”

The statement reads in part: “We knew all along that the emperor had no clothes. Using N78 million tax payers money to build a web site is reckless misappropriation.

The phony over N25 billion used to build a mere kilometer long link bridge is outrageous venality. The spurious N1.5 billion allegedly spent on phantom pedestrian bridges is another con game.” And there are so many of these screaming illegalities observable in the record of our poster boy of yesterday.”

Nobody is forming any weapons against them. Their corruption will catch up with them.

When you spend 78,000,000 Naira of public money on a Wordpress theme website you have fashioned a dangerous weapon of mass destruction on yourself.

Fashola remains the biggest fraud of Nigerian democracy. ....... not because he looted the most amounts but the immense propaganda with which he covered his many loots while putting up a saintly front.

And all of a sudden. ..... one cannot pin-point one major capital intensive project Fashola completed in 8yrs despite managing over 6trillion naira.

The big question is, will President Buhari Probe Mr. Fashola? In fact, I think this N78 million naira is the least, compared to other billions already stashed. Just think about what the poster above me said. For someone to govern the most populated state in Nigeria, effected to a maximal extent the remittance of TAX like his whole administration depended on it; definitely the richest state in the country as regards revenue generation, and he governed this state for 8 years. Mr Fashola to most people is the most innocent governor Nigeria ever had. Seriously? I wonder if such people ever heard of the phrase "a wolf in sheep's clothing"

Fashola is a thief plain and simple. They keep deceiving their slaves and gullible followers by pointing Jonathan while they rob their state blue, black and yellow.

Aregberascal don cast, Fashola don fool himself, Amaechi is a common thief the unborn know in port Harcourt, Oshiomole is the only governor in Nigeria that never initiated any capital project in his second term, Rochas has long been disgraced as a circus clown.

Buhari shd not look far probing cases when e nor go fit win for court, just turn around and see the thieves frolicking with you day and night. That can keep him busy for the next 4 years cool

What part of the world is he blasting from- Himalayas or the Grand Canyon??

This man is simply one shameless old man. In a sane country, crooks like him, after their conviction, incarceration and release, would find the quietest place to hide their bald assess, but here he's been rehabilitated and granted full honours and VIP status by a man that sees a vast difference between stealing and corruption and is attracted to the sleaziest charlatans in our politicosphere.

Guess we can hardly blame him.
