If you make mistake while writing an
email, editing a photo, or texting. Simply
shake your phone and this will show up
and allow you to edit easily.
Take a screen shot: This method can be
used to take photos of websites, texts, or a
funny page you want to keep memory of. To
take a screen shot with your iphone just
hold the home button and the on/off button
at the top right corner at the same time. The
screen shot will be saved in your camera
roll. The method is the same for ipads.
Your iphone will charge faster if you turn
it on airplane mode while charging.
Teach Siri how to pronounce words: Each
time Siri mispronounces a word, just say,
“that’s not how you pronounce” and she’ll
offer you alternatives to choose from.
When you need to start a new sentence,
just double-tap the spacebar and it will
add a period and a space for you.
You can find out what airplanes are flying
above you by saying “what flights are
overhead”.
You can use the volume up or volume
down buttons to take a photo, as long as
the camera application is open.
By holding down the capture button, the
iphone will automatically go into burst
mode and take a series of shots, ensuring
that you capture the perfect shot.
You can control the scrubbing rate of
video and audio by moving your finger
down the screen as you scrub through it.
If you want to listen to music or audio
books before you go to sleep, you can set
a timer so it turns off.
You can use your iphone as a level. Just
swipe left in the compass application and
voila.
You can use speak selection on iphones
and ipads to read texts out loud.
Just by holding down the “.” At the
bottom of your keyboard, a menu will pop
up with a list of web suffixes to choose
from such as.com, .org, .net, .edu etc.
When using the calendar application, just
turn your phone sideways and a more
detailed schedule will appear.
You can create Pass code with letters
instead of numbers: Go to Settings, then to
General, and then pass code lock and Turn-
off Simple Pass code. A full keyboard will
be prompted to appear instead of a number
pad.
You can access your email drafts more
easily by holding down the compose icon
key in the lower right corner and it will
take you to a list of your drafts
You can lock autofocus and exposure
while taking photos
You can view the timestamps of text
messages by sliding the texts over.
You can set your phone to emit light
instead of sound.
