No pyrogallol? Cool, no problem at all. You can use fractional distillation, but I'm guessing you don't have a supercool fridge. So, the best thing is to combust the air completely with a carbon based fuel to convert all of the oxygen to carbon (IV) oxide. Then remove the resulting carbon dioxide with lime water. You will get a 98% pure nitrogen with 1% noble gas and 1% natural impurities(I'm assuming you live in a busy city like Lagos) And . . . there you go! |
