Nice one

Good officiating will make the league better; and teams will have to work hard to win hence improving...

Still waiting for the time when NPFL teams will dominate Africa again...

KP lost and nothing happened to the away club, at least this should shut wailers up and those who paint our league black.

please note that the LMC was formed in 2012 and it's being years of continuous improvements....
This season started in March and for your information all teams have dropped points at home.

So, you and your fellow propagandists should shamefully park one side!

The fact that the centre referee was a woman is another thing to celebrate.
FIFA badge referee Uloma Nwogu who also is a Policewoman from Abakaliki Ebonyi state was at the centre of the park while this history was made!!!

Kano Pillars fans gave her a standing ovation for a job welldone despite loosing the match, there was no Alibi to lay claims to!!

You are very correct.
These days, clubs win away from home; I even watch their matches now.

Well, nothing last forever, it's now a record and let's see who can break this record in Africa or even the world over.

Welldone Nassarawa Utd.

Even though it wasn't shown on TV, they still won, so no one can use the issue of "winning because it wasn't on tv" as an excuse again.

If you're good enough, you'll win anywhere.
Finally the jinx broken....Nassarawa avenged for my darling shooting ..I'm happy to hear this...would have loved it to be 3SC though

Happy. Have u forgotten so soon 2012/2013 when Enyimba was leading in Kano by a lone goal fans encroached d pitch and disrupted play Kano pillars were sanctioned and banished to Lokoja for a replay of the match but instead of the match to continue from d time it was disrupted NFL board room. Decision insisted a full time replay of the match!! Kano pillars won d match and went ahead to. Win d league dat season.

Also recall d riot dat preceeded Kano pillar's defeat by Heartland in CAF champions league semi-final match 0:1 in kano in 2009.

So what we saw today was a repented Pillars fans and it is worth acknowledging!

But that has not stopped Heartland from loosing home matches but d reverse have been d case with pillars until recently which I ve already acknowledged and commended. You are yet. To debunk my earlier assertion with facts using Heartland vs Enyimba as justification is just but diversionary

At least we have no known record of Kano pillars beating any officials unlike the recorded one of Heartland and Enyimba.

Except you can show us with fact and punishment gotten where KP beat any ref, then keep your endless rant to yourself.

Premier League sanctions Pillars

The Nigeria Premier League (NPL) have ordered Premier division club, Kano Pillars to play their remaining home matches of the 2009-10 season at the U.J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar in the aftermath of last weekend's encounter against Dolphins, which was characterised by acts of violence on the part of Pillars fans.

The encounter, played before a capacity crowd at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano saw the home side drawing level with the visitors from Port Harcourt very late in stoppage time to bring the score line to 1-1. But shortly afterwards, frustrated Pillars fans went on a rampage, attacking the match officials, as well as players and officials of Dolphins.

Sanctions

While Dolphins' players and officials were attacked on the pitch, the centre referee, Gabriel Adigwe and other match officials were attacked inside the tunnel as they headed for the changing room. It is the second time Adigwe will be assaulted by fans this year. Fans of Niger Tonadoes had attacked him in March during a match against Bayelsa United.

In addition to playing their remaining home games away from Kano, the Premier League also imposed a fine of one million naira on the club while also ordering them to pay the sum of two hundred thousand naira to of the match officials (the centre referee Adigwe, his two assistant referees and the match commissioner).

The Premier League also directed the former league champions to effect the payments on or before June 5, 2010, and to identify the perpetrators of the ugly incident.

The decision will likely please officials of Dolphins whose media officer, China Acheru was thankful that they survived the incident. "We thank God we came out with our lives intact even though some of us will live with the trauma of that incident for a long time," he said.

Not the first time

It is not the first time this season that the NPL will be coming down hard on clubs owing to the action of their supporters as the likes of Niger Tornadoes, Rangers, Wikki Tourists and lately Ranchers Bees have all come under the NPL's hammer.

Ranchers Bees were probably hit the hardest as three of their players and two officials were each banned for one year after they attacked centre referee Francis Kreki and match commissioner John Ladan at the end of their league encounter against Sunshine Stars at the Kaduna Township Stadium earlier this month.

In addition to the punishment, the club was fined two million naira and ordered to play their remaining home games in Calabar, at the U.J. Esuene.
