A son who was convinced his mother was killed by his father spent all of his inheritance money seeking justice.

Pelle Walls, from Salt Lake City, Utah, and his siblings were devastated when his father, John ‘Johnny’ Brickman Walls, told them that their mother and his ex-wife, Uta von Schwedler, had committed suicide back in 2011.


The German-born scientist, who was well respected in her field and had a new boyfriend following her split with John, was found dead in the bath having apparently killed herself.

However Pelle, then 17, became suspicious as his father was acting strange, saying things like ‘What if I did it and don’t remember?’, and asking for both his mother and his lawyer.

A verdict of suicide was ruled and the case was closed, however Pelle was unconvinced and vowed to seek justice for his late mother.
