Please broiler farmers in this house,is there really a broiler breed that takes 8 weeks to mature (ready for the market)?
Needs an answer to make an urgent decision.

Sure. 8 weeks is the standard maturity age for broilers. Some even mature as from 6 weeks.

Thanks for the positive reply bro.God bless. A friend was deceived to buy some breeds that took 5 months to mature though they claimed it will take 8 weeks.

. It depends on you and the purpose for which u will be going for layers or broilers. Layers ROI takes about 6 months before. U start getting little profit, though u may keep them for 18months or less before u dispose them as spent layers. Meanwhile, broilers raised for meat production just require 10 weeks OR LESS depending on u with immediate returns. Also, how much do u intend to pump into the biz?

Better start with broilers considering the money available. Moreover, since you are a novice, it is better you start with a few, say 50 day old broilers. The experience you get from rearing broilers will help you should you want to venture into layers production.
