I trusted Aventures with the supervision and he built the house anyway. And actually, it's my residential building, few cars will be parked there as I still use Raleigh bicycles (not motorcyle) to cruise around with Mr. EgunMogaji whenever I am on ground.

Dulux call satin Silk... Other manufacturers call it satin. So it's a brand name of a particular type of paint not a paint name. Berger paints have it do, same as others

So much so that my original idea to only build my estate with stone dust blocks was shelved. The artisans had a tough time running pipes and whatnots in the Welcome Center that I built from stone dust blocks.

you can find sand within your area, or owode, oworo, ogudu.

I'm not here to do supplyer job, they are in association, once they report u, they will force truck owner to take the truck away from you.

You can’t compare a block made with stonedust and sharp sand. To give you ideas, go and buy blocks in Abeokuta, you will need concrete cutter to cut them.

Let me see if I can share a picture of the blocks I used in one of my projects in Abeokuta.

Its over 5 years i did the ground floor and unfortunately i can't remember the quotation but did the decking not long ago. I intend raising the first floor now but I need responses so as not to be cheated by the bricklayers. If to just give no of blocks and cement. Size of decking is 43ft length and 35.5breadth

I have two questions

firstly can it fit into a 50x100 and still leave moderate space for parking etc

This can easily be verified. Can somebody fill two paint buckets or any equal containers, one with sand and another with granite, and weigh them on a scale?

Even though the density of gravel is higher than sand, when it comes to weight of a volume of each of them, it is highly dependent on moisture content..

Gravel is 2400kg/m³
Sand is 160kg/m³
So for every 1m³, you get

2400kg/m³ x 1m³=2,400kg of gravel
1600kg/m³ x 1m³=1,600kg of sandq

This is supposedly the dry weight. When you consider moisture content, sand absorbs more water and by its closer particle packing, it also retains more water. So in general the, moisture content of sand should be close to twice that of ggravel at the same exposure. The moisture content of gravel becomes lower with higher particle size. So stone dust is heavier than ¼inch which is heavier than ½inch which is heavier than ¾inch and so on.

Lets assume moisture content of sand at 30%, under the same conditions, moisture content of gravel maybe 15%.

So 2400kg of granite is actually
2400+(2400x0.15)
=2400+360
=2740kg

1600kg of sand is actually
1600+(1600x0.3)
=1600+480
=2080kg

At the end, its unlikely that sand will be heavier than gravel except if the granite is of very poor quality.
