I know load calculation is normally required but I'm looking to hear from our seasoned M&E specialists, builders, home owners etc. that may have experience with such.

Let's just say the building has everything - A/Cs, water heaters and all whatnot in all the rooms. Roughly will do for now

It takes a 27KVA 3 phase gen to run my 5 bedroom complex. -> 1.5hp AC in all rooms + 3hp AC (2hp + 1hp) for living room/dining, fully kitted kitchen, individual water heaters, flood security lights etc.

For me it is a good to go plan. Nice use of space and good natural light.

However, going upstairs, I will make a small change to the sit-out. I know that there are no dimensions yet to the plan, but going by the norminal dimension of the sit-out, this is too 'big' and expensive for the plan. Mind you that sit-out is a decking and we all know how expensive decking can be.

So I will convert the sit-out to a purposeful room and do a cantilever sit-out of smaller dimension accessible from the corridor. This to me is a better use of space and better budgeting.

But this is just me. I'm too concerned with budgeting.

Are there still smooth rods in Nigeria? I've not seen that item in Nigeria for more than 30 years. Really, no joke. I've had design concept made of smooth rods in the past that but my welder couldn't find smooth rods. "Oga, smooth rods no dey Nigeria again"

By Sliding gate, I mean the a single leaf gate with wheel/tire, instead of the popular double leaf that we're used to.

Secondly, I am a detribalised Nigerian. I love everyone irrespective of age, gender, race or religious beliefs. When issues occur, we would deal with it/them and move on. Reaction? Yes it's normal based on when you expect much and you're disappointed.
Possibility of being misunderstood? Yes

If it were my house I’ll swap the kitchen with the bedroom next to the kitchen. I like my kitchen and dining in a row without having to cross the hallway.

what's the measurements of the place you want the gate installed. That will enable me know what you want. Normally it's about 14-16ft long but it can be customized to your choice

1: Graphite Gasket sheets in rolls, preferably 2mm thick
2: round chip cutter for the gasket sheets to convert into small sizes like this

A client had a 33KVA UK Perkins installed.
Building Spec:
GL.....Lounge(Void) and Dinning has 3 HP AC each, Guest room 1.5 HP, and Toilet Water heater tank that serves the kitchen, Study 1 HP.
First Floor.....Master Bedroom 1.5HP, Madam Bedroom 1.5HP, water heater, Children's room 1 HP, Mini Lounge 2 HP.
Pent House.....Lounge 1HP, Bedroom 1HP, Toilet Water heater serves the master bedroom.

We are still at preliminary stages, infact it's still at conception but a stakeholder had given a hint at the capacity and i considered it outrageous so i wanted to double check for a rough estimate.

There is definitely no swimming pool.
Every other power component is standard as would be expected in a decent lekki fully detached 5-bed duplex build.
