On wood floor do you mean pvc laminate or hardwoods

On hardwood I don't know but on PVC laminate people use it here in Nigeria though not as much as they use tiles.
And the its very lasting but more costlier than tiles most time.

Look at 12mm PVC laminate imported from Swiss I can guarantee you 15yrs and more

Permission sir mufutau55
What are these laminate pvc made of sir?
Are they more durable than d regular ceramic tiles?

l, honestly want to read the solution you say lies with the same people because people have been killed in Nigeria for refusing to give bribes to blood thirsty cops on the roads, some diasporans came to help rejig the government, some were frustrated out of the system and they returned back to their adopted country.

Look at the police force of Nigeria, if you Daboomb is appointed to be the IG of police and you role out your plans to revive the police and to weed or reduce corruption, as long as you don't step on toes while discharging your duties, you are safe, the day you touch the kitchen cabinet of the president or powerful politicians, they will call you to order or remove you, and this is just the police department l am talking about, like spyder880 said, it has permeated all the facet of our national life, if you ask me the way out, I don't think I know how best things can change in Nigeria

Hmmm.... if l agree with all you wrote above (sadly, l have to agree), it then takes me back to my original question:

Are you saying we are doomed, as a Nation?
Are you saying there is NO SOLUTION?

I am really worried.

somebody or a group of people MUST come up with ideas to get us out of this logjam.
The alternative is that we are doomed, as a nation, and l refuse to acfept that.

Interesting opinion, l agree with your position especially on the need to have an effective data base, linking BVN, drivers license, voters card, national ID with the International passport will be highly recommended if those are the helm of affairs will be ready to do the right thing

As necessary and good as the above milestones are (and dont forget that almost everyone in Nigeria has a bank account, even just savings accnt, with a BVN Database, some states also have I.D Card database scheme, INEC has its own database, Immigration/Passport office has its own, e.t.c........so the problem cant be a shortage of 'database')............ it wont fly until the Govt agrees and implement stable power supply.
How much does it cost to build a brand new Power Station (using Gas or Nuclear or hydro options)?
Yet, the money Govt has been giving the same 'thieves and fronts' it used in buying up Nepa/PHCN, in form of BAILOUT, is more tha enough to build one!

ENERGY/POWER is the engine of any growth in any country.
After elelctricity, you then move on to Steel

How do you link 'database', when the Server is down or the Network is down, due to no electricity?

So many things are wrong with Nigeria at this moment and l personally think we should jettisson this Democracy, for now.
Let us be honest, it is not working!
Aside GSM, which is a private initiative that was started even before 1999, can someone tell me just ONE THING that has improved in Nigeria, since we started this 3rd Democratic republic? just tell me one.

if l have my way, l will finish-off all our current leaders, from the NASS, to the Executive, to past Presidents, Ministers and purge the Juduciary.
If l have my way, l will ask unemplyed but willing Graduates, to apply for Police job, pay them a minimum of 200K monthly but make them sign an undertaking that any form of bribery/corruption on their part, fetches them a minimum of 10yrs in jail, without an option of fine. I will setup a hightech monitoring team for that purpose.

If l had my way, l will introduce the death penalty for acts of corruption that "affects the state of the Citizens".
For example, if you embezzle money meant to kit Police officers or for their welfare, money meant to build hospitals, money meant for schools, steal PHCN transformer or tamper with electric installations, loot money meant for Borehole and other sundry acts that directly affect the quality of life of the citizens.

if l had my way, for any PUBLIC OFFICER who is saddled with the responsibility of ensuring Public Safety or anything related to such, acts of corruption in that regards will fetch you 15yrs in prison, with hard labour (I will use these multitudes of Prisoners on Rice farms and othe rfarms established all over the country and they must also feed themselves properly).

Acts like approving a defective building, poorly constructed road, fake measures, fake drugs, fake items like cable, drugs or auto-parts, importing and selling dangerous/sub-standard items, e.t.c will attract 15yrs in Prison

A seed needs to 'die' first, before it can 'grow' and produce even more seeds for food.

You will be surprised that the Russia that you think is the most corrupt country in the world, will not bath an eyelid but it is the "Western Countries" that play hypocrisy and benefit from the squalor in Nigeria (they need our best brains to migrate to their country as Doctors, Engineers, Nurses, I.T specialist, e.t.c)... will be the one shouting 'Human Rights Abuse' but rightnow that we Nigerians are suffering and dying, they are not doing ANYTHING to remove such suffering, appart from selling us more weapons to kill ourselves!

Refering to Spyder's post, NO ONE, NO FOREIGN COUNTRY is coming to help us resolve our problems here in Nigeria (infact, they are happy we are dying off like flies because they think we are too many grin );
We either solve it ourselves, in our own way and style, or we are DOOMED.

Anyway, maybe l am just a harsh and deranged shithead, living in a shithole. undecided

Different thoughts are going through my mind, maybe a kind of bloody revolution carried out by perhaps a combination of corrupt free politicians / young officers from NDA to wipe off all those who raped Nigeria from 1979 till date, two options for all those economic saboteurs that will be arrested, everything looted will be taken from them or they are eliminated like the way it is done in China or they are sentenced to life imprisonment but the question however remains, who will lead the revolution?

Again, will Nigerians support the move? Will it not be called witchhunting? In dealing with all the economic robbers, religion should not come into play, whether Muslims, Christians, Voodoo worshippers or Atheist, as long as you chop the yams of the nation, you either vomit it or you are dealt with, other than that, I think, I will tilt towards agreeing that the country is doomed or let me say, things might continue like this for the next 100 years shocked

Oh my gosh, Daboomb it means there is no hope then, you have given some practical steps to take the country forward but with the crackheads in government in Nigeria, l don't think they want the country fixed which brings me back to agree that the country might not be out of the woods yet shocked

the only way out is to split the entire nation. some of you might be angry at this statement but sitdown and reason properly you would understand that this is the only solution

No Sir, l am already sitting down properly and l still cant understand!

It is up to you, the person that is propounding this theory, to enlighten us more, on why you feel this is so.

As someone has said, even if you split this country into 756 countries, (each LGA become a country of its own), it is just a mere exercise of creating a kingdom for each thief to supervise, independently.

Tell me one REGION in Nigeria, where looting does not occur?
Tell me one STATE in Nigeria, where looting does not occur?
Tell me one Local Govt Area in Nigeria, where looting does not occur?
Show me one street in Nigeria, where there are no thieves or criminals?
Show me one household in Nigeria, were all the members are saints?

Infact, it will be even worse than it is the case now.
Imagine if Fayose was President of 'Yoruba Nation'! grin
Imagine say Okorocha (Mr Statue) was President of 'Igbo Nation'!
Imagine if say that short man in kaduna (hell-rufai) was President of 'Arewa nation'?

So, we now have three confirmed looters administering over national purse! grin
And they will also have their own 27 Ministers looting under them
Not to mention their State Governors, Commissioners, e.t.c
Now, what about the National Assembly 'honorables' of each Region, living fat on their taxes?

The above are some of the reasons l think it will get worse, if we split this country, just because of corruption.
What we need is 'mutual respect, equity and fairness', in dealing with every citizen of Nigeria, irrespective of where they come from, religion or gender.

I want to hear your own reasons, on why you think splitting will resolve those problems.
Am willing to learn.

Those who are benefitting from the rot, will never allow any form of change.
For example, look at Buhari rightnow.
As much as l admire the man (l've always admired him since 1983, when for the first time, l saw Nigerians queuing up at B/stops, noone defecates on open spaces, no one drops litter anyhow, e.t.c, not to mention those lengthy jail terms he gave Politicians (never mind that he was a bit partial to his clansmen), voted for him in 2015, l think he shoudl go and rest and advice younger ones in Govt.

he has spent the better part of his first term treating "old age illness', fighting memory lapses and other symptoms of old age, yet he still wants a second term!
Those who are benefitting from his "memory lapses" are the ones urging him-on.
He has achieved some things and failed in so many other things!

- Security (he has failed, as long as mass killing sstill continue on a daily basis, aside the boko haram killings)
- Anti- corruption (he has achieved a lot but a lot is still happening so much so that it looks like he has only created a new set of looters, his cabal members)
- Agriculture (he has achieved a lot in this area but the Herdsmen displacing farmers from their farms, especially in the middle belt, has negated whatever he has achieved. Infact, Nigeria is about to experience food shortage, in the coming months because nothing is coming out of the middle belt, the traditional food basket of Nigeria)
- Eduaction - he has achieved nothing
- Health - Nothing achieved

So, overall, l think he needs to take a chill and let younger men take the mantle.
When l say younger ones, l mean proven younger men with a vision to turn things around.
But you can bet that "the Palm Tree does not just surrender it fruits, it has to be taken from it, WITH FORCE"!

Good morning sir

The PVC laminate is made of well processed bamboo wooden extract

On durability the 10 and 12mm qualities can be very durable especially when compared to ceramic and porcelain tiles but not as durable as vitrified tiles.

U can't take away the fact wood is more prone to fire & other attacks from termite than tiles...

You can say fire and I will agree with you but in terms of termites both hardwood and PVC wooden laminate used for flooring are well treated and processed to be repulsive to termites.

I am glad you replied at a point after I saw a thread on El-Rufai and the heavy equipment that he used in LG elections recently. if you have not seen it go and check. you see the problem is that there are states, tribes, entities, authorities and the likes of others who really want to advance than what they are right now, but the problem is that the current federal setup is impeding that. it is not that the system at the moment fights them but the underlying structure is impeding them from moving forward. Let us be honest, the federal govt with its croonies have failed this country to a point of no return and no fix. It was Lagos that tried to provide electricity one time and the federal system shut it down. what I am saying is that if this country was broken down into smaller parts there would definitely be competition and advacements as everybody would like to show the rest that they know their stuff just like the 60s!. I imagine that one of the fastest and easiest way to curb crime now in our system is to have a centralized database system that registers every individua, born and dead persons. the FG have tried to do something similar with the National ID system and failed. you know why? they cannot manage the current system they are running because its too big.

I beleive that if this current system is broken down, one region would implement a system that works and may serve or tweaked as a benchmark for other regions. look at north korea, the reason why they are trying to always develop nuclear weapons is to indirectly tell the south that they are also technologically advanced and to feel big too but we all know that its because they dont want to feel like the ones carrying last. and you see the problem with corruption? there is no mechanism or structure that would prevent you from stealing funds. biometric is the first way to go but not with this present system we have as nigeria because it is going to be sabotaged. Until Nigeria goes back to the system it ran in the 60s, or a split, we would never have that nigeria we are dreaming of..

I agree with the bolded.
Competition breeds advancement!

I also agree that Biometrics is of utmost importance but l disagree that it is too big for the FG.
Resources needed for Biometrics for 10 states or 6 states or 21 states, is almost the same, aside from the size of Servers required.
Size of the Database, has nothing to do with its success/functionality.
How can you operate Biometrics in an environment where Electricity is onlu available a few hours in a day?
If is just a joke because you need constant electricity to power the Systems and database.

IMO, l think what we lack is strong, determined and altruistic leadership.
if we have that, other things will start to take shape and people will tow the line.
This is what people thought Buhari was going to give us but alas, he was a huge disappointment.
Now, that is just my own opinion.

I go back again to the breakdown, many states/regions have and know what it takes to provide and supply constant electricity but the FG wont let them. The FG in Nigeria is our major problem in this country. Too many vested interest. As one Nigeria, one region would be jealous if another region prospers exponentially. It has been happening from time immemorial. Just jealousy alone thwarts policies from being implemented in Nigeria. This current formation is what we have been using for the last 50 years and we are expecting a new result and keeping thinking it would be better? It would not work. Even the altruistic leadership you mentioned is being fought against for a mere fact that someone is from one region and nothing else. I have made the resolve with myself long time ago and I have come to understand that the only solution is Nigeria splitting. If they don't want complete split. regional autonomy is the next best alternative. If we think its that difficult we can learn from Switzerland. Down to the local govt level, they are autonomous to the teeth! its crazy how one local govt has a policy that is different from another local govt in the same state but they all work together in synergy. Its crazy I tell you.

Refering to Spyder's post, NO ONE, NO FOREIGN COUNTRY is coming to help us resolve our problems here in Nigeria (infact, they are happy we are dying off like flies because they think we are too many grin );
We either solve it ourselves, in our own way and style, or we are DOOMED.

Anyway, maybe l am just a harsh and deranged shithead, living in a shithole. undecided
Man, Nigeria is not shorts of ideas that will benefit it citizens, you just mentioned few that can straighten the system. The question is do we have political will to enforce rules of law? Our problem is us the people, that does things in tribal and religion line. One of my friend was in China as we speak for the first time to travel out of Africa, he called me yesterday telling how 1- 3 State he visited in China is bigger then entire country of ours very well organized and the wonders he saw there. My first question to him is how many mega church and mosque did he saw there, his response Na only factory’s I saw here oh. He conclusions is just like your words if he as his way he will take out all our politicians that keep our people in poverty out. Imagine, China is third world country 25-30 years ago, how do they do it in that short time to be second largest economy in world. Every Chainis is Chainis not from north, south, east west or even center, they are all Chainis. Not until we kill corruption keep our religion, tribes, aside and build a nation before tribes and religion, will still stocked where we are today.

The day we can kill religion and tribalism in Nigeria is only the time we can have a country.
Even if Yorubas, Igbos, and Hausas separates as an individual countries, we will still have problems within ourselves.
God help us.

l concur with you, I was listening to a program recently about Belgium, they said Belgium has l think only 23 churches in the entire country, they also said Switzerland, , Finland, Denmark and few western European countries have fewer churches, mosques and religious centers, Nigeria has mosques and churches in almost every street, and yet things are not working, China is more or less an Atheist Nation but most of the microphones, plastic chairs etc used in religious centers in Nigeria are from China

If prayers alone develops a country, Nigeria will be like paradise, until we begin to do the right thing and have a paradigm shift from the way we have been doing things in Nigeria, l am afraid, we shall be having this same conversation in another 50 years from now shocked

Godfatherism won't allow all these to happen.
Daboomb:

When God use language to destroy the plan of people trying to build to heaven, i think that is the same problem with Nigeria. We have the highest ethnicities & languages in the world as a nation. That our biggest problem.

Nothing can be done to help Nigeria. Absolutely nothing... every system is destroyed. Nothing will work.

Doctors destroy medical infrastructure, for patient to patronise theirs, Lawyers defend criminal, Police prepare evidence to cover crime, CBN kills the finance body, our IT professional steal through the bank despite Jumbo pay, our legislature takes public fund as their heritage, Teachers are poor paid, they turn blind eyes to the level of education, Nothing is really working. If we have to really change it many generations has to be wipe out.

individual brings 2months to expire drugs to the country and extend its expiration date for money. Fake product in circulation all for riches & wealth.

Nigeria is... just imagine it!!!

Many businessmen and manufacturers go to China, give them samples of what they want and tell the Chinese manufacturers to produce substandard products this can be anything from electrical, electronics, building materials and Fmcg etc ship it to Nigeria, collude with customs and other regulatory bodies to allow the goods into the country, haba our mumu don do, God is looking and saying when will this nation called Nigeria ever change, nawao, all this craze for insatiable wealth ends here, once you close your eyes in death, even if they pack the whole dollars in the world on your body, it is meaningless shocked
