I am a long standing GTBank customer and i make foreign payments every other day.
i recently learnt that stanbic charges 213 whereas GTBank for months now has been charging me 225

how do these banks set their prices and is there a body the regulates such cheating.
i also think CBN should mandate banks to visibly display the current rate for naira-dollar transactions on debit cards
hiding it away from customers is very unfair.

I think it flunctuates.have you tried uba prepaid visa cards? think its cheaper.don't use wema sha!!

That's GTBank for you. I used them for making dollar payments until it rose to 215, then I switched to Diamond which was at 204 then. GTBank went on to 225 and Diamond was at 215 for a long while before joining GT at 225. All those while, Stanbic was at 199 until only recently when it increased to 212 as at last week.

GTB.. That bank is awesome

My card is $1 = $1 (Visa Debit)

GTB and First Bank are thieves... All bank charges should be same or almost same.
