ACF To Igbos: Biafra Was Resolved And Gone In 1970 by oludashmi(f): 6:56am On Aug 26, 2015
The pan-northern socio-political group, Arewa Consultative Forum, has told Igbo leaders to warn their youths agitating for secession and move on, knowing that the 1970 Biafra Civil War was long resolved.

Speaking in Kaduna on Tuesday, the ACF Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Coomasie, said, “The agitators for this unholy division are in their safe abode outside Nigeria and the most painful aspect of this agitation by the young Ndigbo elements is the silence from the elders who experienced the bitter pill of the succession attempt, the 30-month Civil War and who knew the consequences of such a futile agitation.

“As you will recall, the issue of Biafra was settled in 1970 after the war. It is therefore sad and unfortunate that 45 years after, when Nigerians are now united in a democratic system of governance, that some elements are now busy drumming up support for another war and secession through ‘Radio Biafra’ and MASSOB activities.

“Only just over a week ago, an elder statesman from the South-East celebrated his birthday in Abuja with the launching of his two books. A good number of leaders from the South-East attended the event and as the activities progressed, it was nothing but Biafra with inciting and provocative speeches by one speaker after another.

“ACF expects Ndigbo leaders to come out openly and condemn such agitations in the present day Nigeria, just as it and others condemned and berated the Boko Haram insurgency in the North-East. We cannot afford to transit from one insurgency into another.”

It is unfortunate the Igbo people of Nigeria have chosen to toe the part of dishonor (I am one though)! When Goodluck Jonathan was the president, there was no talk of Biafra, now that they have lost out in 2015 elections by voting for the highest bidder, they are asking for Biafra. Is that not shameful? All Igbos should get this into their head - there was never Biafra and there will never be a Biafra, Nigeria has come to stay, Biafra is dead for ever. Igbos should learn to fight war with their heads not with guns and ammunition just like the Yorubas. Ibos will always play second fiddle in the Nigeria project when ethnic and sectional based politics is the order of the day. When the Igbos decide to avoid mercantile politics, then I hope we (the Igbos) can get to the main stream of Nigeria politics. Enough of cash and carry politics of the Igbos. Long live Nigeria

Hehehehe grin

Left to me alone, I want them to have their biafra. Let's see what they ll make of it. The noise about it is a clear sign the "fraud" will fall like a pack of cards(that's if it ever rises).
