FC Bayern München ace Mario Götze has written another history, as he becomes the youngest player to get 100th bundesliga win.

The League defending champions’ won 2-1 away to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on Saturday which marked Gotze’s 100th Bundesliga win and, although plenty of other players have reached that landmark, nobody has ever done so at such a young age.

The Memmingen native was just 23 years and 80 days old when he made his 144th appearance in Germany’s top flight, and what a game it turned out to be. Kevin Volland scored the joint-fastest goal in Bundesliga history, Bayern went down to ten men, Hoffenheim missed a penalty and then Robert Lewandowski netted in the last minute to hand Pep Guardiola’s charges all three points and ensure Götze’s name was entered in the record books once again.

As the youngest-ever member of the 100 club, Götze beat the previous incumbent Georg Schwarzenbeck by 289 days. He also needed fewer matches to get there: the Bayern No.19 did it in 144 games, Schwarzenbeck in 175.
