Joel Obi has been ruled of the Afcon qualifier against Tanzania Sunday Oliseh has reveal as he gave a form check on the players in camp ahead of Tomorrow’s departure for Dar es Salaam.

The 24-year-old who completed a successful move from Inter Milan to Torino early on in the Summer transfer window was hit by injury during pre season and Oliseh maintains the player’s devotion to the National team is in no doubt were the situation different.


Speaking during a media parley in Abuja, Today Oliseh said he’d recall the player when ever necessary and when he does hit full fitness.

” Joel Obi has been nursing an injury and to be honest there are not so many of his kind. He’s injury prone as we all know, but this absence here is due to injury had been down to that singular reason and nothing else.

” Credit to the man, I spoke with him last week, his club confirmed his injury. But assuredly, when he’s fit I will give him a call up.”
