David Osina is a 17 years old Nigerian who started playing soccer at the age of 4. He was spotted by a La Masia scout while playing soccer with his friends. He was immediately enrolled in the Barcelona Football Academy (La Masia). At the age of 17 he had already played in 78 games for La Masia Barcelona B team, scoring 89 goals and producing 55 assists. He was closely watched by a number of top European clubs including Manchester City, Man United, Ajax, Losc Lille, Arsenal and Sevilla. Arsenal sent a transfer deal and offers came from Palermo and Aston Villa. Normally, He went for Arsenal, but they pulled out of the deal 3 days before the transfer deadline. And Aston Villa came along. Osina was advised to accept the deal so that he could gain first team action,and after the advice, he reluctantly accepted the deal worth £35,000 and a transfer fee of £950,000. Well
