Following the recent improvements in electricity supply in Nigeria, I decided to carry out a research on the people that managed the billions of dollars spent on the power sector under Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. Please see below names of MDAs and their DG/CEO:

1. Federal Ministry of Power – Prof. Barth Nnaji and Prof. Chinedu Nebo

2. Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Power – Dr. Godknows Igali

3. Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) – Dr. Sam Amadi

4. Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Plc (NBET) - Mr. Wonodi Rumundaka

5. Presidential Task Force on Power (PTFP) – Mr. Clement Okeke

6. National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN) – Mr. Reuben Okeke

7. Rural Electrification Agency (REA) – Mr. Kenneth C. Achugbu

8. Operator of the Nigeria Electricity Market (ONEM) – Barr. V.N Osuhor

9. Nigerian Electricity Liability Management Limited (NELMCO) – Dr. Samuel J. Abogun

10. Electricity Management Services Limited (EMSL) – Mr. Peter Ewesor

Section 14)3) and (4) of the Constitution states:

14(3) “The Composition of the Government of the Federation or any of its agencies and the conduct of its affairs shall be carried out in such a manner as to effect the federal Character of Nigeria and the need to promote National unity, and also command national loyalty, thereby ensuring that there shall be no predominance of persons from a few states or from a few ethnic or other sectional groups in that Government or in any of its agencies’.

14(4) “The composition of the Government of a State, a Local Government council, or any of the agencies of such government or Council, and the conduct of the affairs of the Government or council or such agencies shall be carried out in such manners as to recognize the diversity of the people within its area of authority and the need to promote a sense of belonging and loyalty among all the people of the Federation”.

And between this homogenous people, we got the unbundling of the moribund and bureaucratic public electricity company formally known as PHCN. Their actions led to the relatively stable power supply you currently enjoy, but credit to a pathetic rhetoric called BODYLANGUAGE. That says a lot about the ethnicity of this people.

Maybe you need a class in comprehension. I never made any aspersion to the issue of federal character in this post. I am simply treating the post from the angle of the OP's assertion that this employees, stated in the post failed in effectively discharging their duties in reinvigorating the power sector. Don't put the cart before the horse.

Obiagelli:

I hate deliberating on innanities especially with folks who aren't sincere and seek to reap where they did not sow...

1)State those offices again against the name of the president that appointed them into office...

2)State clearly what and how the situation was before they took over and after they left...

3)Then show how any rule or section of constitution was violated by anybody including Jonathan by his appointments...

4)Kindly state clearly amount of money expended by Jonathan in that sector ...

5)Also state the magic wand from buhari that turned around that sector...

6)By 2016; aside refineries, airports remodeling fully paid by Jonathan and so many other investments will be materialising...even SWF will come by 2017 or so...maybe you will still ascribe it to the body language of your god...

7)Quote me By 2019; buhari will still be lying around with APC seeking to steal projects of others at this rate supported by liars like you...

coolI saw Chidionu58 mess you around in the refinery thread cheesy grin

I don't have much time to do Justice to this nonsense and a deliberate attempt to deceive people like Obiagelli who can't do simple research before going affirmative with such a display of intellectual fraud and concocted misconceptions.

While Professor Nnaji/Nebo was minister for Power, Alhaji Mohammed Wakil was Minister of State for Power

For those who care to note, President Jonathan inaugurated Presidential Task Force on Power. The Chairman was Engr. Reynolds Bekinbo Dagogo- Jack and later Engr. Clement Adeyinka Oke is Acting Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Power.

Board

This is a comprehensive national representative board and management

The image below states specific portfolios occupied by who and who in Nigeria Power Sector during Jonathan's administration as against the rubbish quoted on this thread

You forgot about Diezani Alison-Madueke and her NNPC. The power sector relying on gas supply need about 1 bilion cubic feet per day, what was a huge problem for Mrs. Alison and her team. She preferred supporting the EU’s energy sector priorities by 8 bilion cubic feet per day .......
