* They won the African Cup Winners' Cup in 1976, becoming the first Nigerian Clubside to win an International trophy.

* 3SC have produced international stars like Rashidi Yekini and Segun Odegbami.

* Shooting Stars have won the Nigerian Premier League 5 times (1976,1980,1983,1995, 1998).

* Their current squad includes players like: Akande Abiodun, Tope Orelope, Ajani Ibrahim, Danladi Isa, Cletus Itodo, Sunday Adetunji, Sodiq Suraj, Wasiu Jimoh, Najeem Olukokun, Joseph Izu, Alaba Osawe etc, headed by coach Gbenga Ogunbote.
