Greensprings School, an international co-educational institute comprising of Primary and Secondary schools situated in both Anthony and Lekki areas of Lagos is requiring a male/female accounting professional with strong analytical skills, I.T skills, good numeracy skills and excellent interpersonal skills to fill in for the position of an Audit Manager for both Anthony and Lekki Campuses


Responsibilities:
o Ensure that the status (e.g. stipulated in an audit charter), strategy, resources of the internal audit department are aligned and are consistent with the organization's objectives and governance policy.
o Establish appropriate policies and procedures to guide the internal audit function, and ensure the quality of the assurance services delivered.
o Ensure that the risk assessment is done at least annually;
o Establish risk-based audit plans to set out the priorities of the internal audit function, consistent with the organizational objectives.
o Coordinate internal auditing activities and plans with other internal and external providers of assurance and consulting activities to ensure proper coverage and minimize duplication of effort.
o Communicate plan of engagements and resource requirements for the internal audit function, including significant interim changes to the audit committee. This communication shall include the impact of resource limitations.
o Ensure that internal audit resources are appropriate, sufficient and effectively deployed to achieve the internal audit plan approved by the Board.
o Ensure the timely completion of internal auditing engagements.
o Ensure that reports on internal auditing engagements are provided to the audit committee with a minimum of delay.
o Provide an annual holistic opinion on the effectiveness and adequacy of risk management, control, and governance processes.
o Ensure that allocated financial resources are adequately utilized by verifying the authenticity and validity of all transactions.
o Ensure appropriate approvals are obtained for departmental or cross departmental financial expenditures and budget allocation by verifying whether the approvals are in compliance with organizational policies.
o Prepare detailed reports on audit findings.
o Evaluate audit findings and determine cost effective solutions and process improvements for recommendation to management.

B. Sc/M. Sc Accounting, Finance, Economics
Professional Qualification
ACA/ACCA/CISA
Minimum Relevant Work Experience:
7-10 years experience as an Internal Auditor
Experience in Finance and Accounting is an added advantage
Required Competency and Work Skills:
o Good oral and written communication skills
o Good interpersonal skills
o Ability to think rationally and logically
o Must be a highly organized strategic planner
o Strong IT skills
