My observation of the two senerio;

*The 1962 lawmakers weren't so big and pot bellied like their 2014 canterpact.. It was easy for them to escape via the slightest available space

*The 1962 lawmakers dress code was was purely cultural while their 2014 mates portrays western influence.

*The 1962 lawmakers were running from the crisis while 2014 ones were gunning for crisis..

Those lawmakers in 1962 were running from serious trouble , there were military men under order of Balewa/Azikiwe FG who had teargassed the chambers and were allied to Akintola.

When you out this in perspective this singular incident changed Nigerian history forever , it redirected our progress, and put us through decades of military hardship.
The consequences of this incident led to the crisis in the SW which led to Awo imprisonment for treason , the 1960 coup and the civil war
the story as we all know it.
you are right... the easterners are the only peaciful region..we try to save our southern brothers from been conqured by d north.. d coup saved yoruba hero.... but when d uprise started de run and join d north.. cowards forever!

The easterners are the only peaceful region, that episode was not unknown to Azikiwe and to top it off it was the majorly eastern officers that put nigerim Nigeria on its knees by killing by today's standards very honest men.

Easterners are not peaceful , they are politically stupid and tactically incapable. It would be impossible for an eaterner to ever become the president of Nigeria with their current decisions and determination not to respect other regions in Nigeria and form true alliances.

Given Rochas is being blocked at every turn by his brothers it could be a long time coming

I just like this Introvert chick even though I know little about her. Babe I like your replies, don't let anyone drag you into a mud fight. I just don't why many people here spew thrash about her being FTC. It's not her fault that she's faster than you now. If you think she's jobless, why not wait for her to ask you for an employment opportunity first? Please let her be joorrr!
