faculty: environmental design
founded year : 1952
Departmet of architecture was moved from university of ibadan in the year 1952 making them the second university in nigeria to offer architecture as a degree awarding course. they offer 4years Bsc and 2years Msc making a total of 6years. the courses are very okay but you have to work hard to scale. the lecturers are a bit flexible and nice tho' most of them are a bossy. the environment is cool, its close to the library, less noise and enough lightening in the studio and classes tho the department building is kinda old fashioned considering when it was built(my opinion).
the tuition is same with other departments, i think freshers are paying averagely 30k while returning 20k.
architecture is really competitive so u have to be at ur best to secure admision into the department

On a scale of 1-10 I'll rate ABU architecture 7/10 while comparing to other Uni, I'll say 3rd Best in Nigeria aside University of ibadan and UniJos

don't attempt it bro....just fill in for school within your zone.. had 230 as cut off point want picked,,, my igbo friend had 267 as cut off wasn't picked. My hausa friend has 213 was picked.. all desame course...

Now here is where I have problems with most rejected students.
You certainly know nothing or too little to be significant about Abu admission policy.
The obeena replying is from north?
Is he a northerner?
Even in my faculty, I can't count the number of Igbo's in my level, as competitive as MBBS is, dozens of southerners are admitted yearly.

Simple truth, your result was not strong enough to get admitted....... Deal with that if it still hurts you.


And others, I'd keep saying it, if you come from non catchment, all you need to do is beat every one from your state.
You could score 246 and not get admitted, yet you could score 213 and get admitted for the same course.

I'm from the Far east (Enugu) and was admitted, same with my 3 other brothers and never did we meet anybody for admission Processing (or whatever they call it)
