The Ralph Uwazurike-led faction of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has called on Igbo politicians to reject any appointment that might be offered them under the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.

Rivers South zonal leader Sunday Kalu-Amuzie spoke after a thanksgiving service to mark the movement’s 16th year anniversary.

Amuzie said opportunities abound in the Biafran nation for any position or portfolios they might want, urging them to come back home and occupy them with ease.

“We are confident that our desire on Biafra has been realised and this informed today’s celebration.

“We are convinced that God supports our agitation and is guiding our step towards its realisation soon. This is why we call on our people to come home, because what they seek in Abuja is at home.”

“The Ndigbos who are lobbying for appointments into Buhari’s cabinet should stop forthwith, as there is no need for that. The Biafran nation is already in our hands; they should reject any appointment that might be given to them and come home to help build Biafra,” he said.

Amuzie noted that God had perfected the birth of the new nation, which comprised the 11 states of the former eastern region.

Officiating minister Pastor David Achi said God told him Biafra was in his programme and that conviction informed his interactions with the group.

“The crowd that defiled the rains for this programme today is evidence that God supports MASSOB. The people are convinced of this; if I am not convinced of what I heard from God, I would not have identified with them.

“It took me several years, even after God spoke, to make up my mind to join because I didn’t want to make mistakes,” Achi said.

Do these clowns realize the last color Ojukwu and Achebe took with them to their grave was the Green White Green?

To convince the carpetbeggers (not carpetbaggers!) that rosy positions await them a dramatic display of resolve and committment is needed. To this effect, MASSOB must exhume Ojukwu and Achebe and give them a second burial, this time draped in Biafran colors.

This is not possible to reject let tell ourselves truth. I'm not expecting any APC card carrying member from biafra land to reject an appointment he has been working for since that made him to vote out his brother Jonathan.

Meanwhile, from another Ibo...

Aba—Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2015 election in Abia state, Dr. Nyerere Anyim, has urged Ndigbo to be patient with President Muhammadu Buhari, insisting that the bloc would get a fair share in the appointments.

I just hope that one day, IPOB and MASSOB can unite or reach a common ground so as to Forster Biafra. Either way, I have no doubt that we shall be free of this evil entity called Nigeria some day

There is a popular saying that to keep Nigeria one is a task that must be done. We need ourselves more than ever. There is strenght in our diversity and if properly utilized we can build a stronger Nigeria. The Igbos really need to drop this idea of Biafra because it is dead on arrival. Secession is not the solution to the high poverty rate in the south east neither will it eliminate greedy politicians who have refused to let the SE thrive. The igbos need to look inward and look for ways they can develop their region within the Nigerian context. We the Yorubas are not bothered about breaking away. We worked so hard to develop Lagos and the South west so everyone can thrive and this is why the igbos and other tribes keeps flocking to the SW to tap from the potentials and opportunities Yoruba land has to offer. This is the kind of mentality the Igbos need to develop. South sudan broke away from sudan and still nothing has changed because they remain poor and depend on aids to survive. The igbos need to work together with every section of Nigeria so they can be relevant in the Nigerian system instead of calling we the Yoruba's slaves to Hausa-fulani. The igbos are the real slaves here because they are the ones in bondage and yearning for freedom. The igbos should remember the last civil war and never allow Nnamdi Kanu to lure them into another blood bath. Biafra is a dream that cant be realized. We will support the Hausa-Fulanis to resist any form of secession. We will defend the unity of One Nigeria just like we did in the late 60's. A word is enough for the wise.

SAY NO TO BIAFRA

GOD BLESS OUR UNITED NIGERIA.
