Bible Study : The Isaac Story
Don't give up . Ten lessons from the story of Isaac
Day One …….
Text Genesis 26: 19- 22
………' Isaac's servants dug in the valley and discovered a well of fresh water there but the herdsmen of gerar quarrelled with those of Isaac ………………………………..

From the above text , several deductions can be made which can be applied to our everyday lives and purpose , many a time in life we get to some points in our walk and everyone seems to be against us , then we feel neglected , abandoned and unworthy and want to call it quit , here are ten lessons to learn from the story of Isaac……

1. Lesson One : ISAAC HAD A DREAM
The first and most important thing is to have a dream , have a clear cut purpose , and a goal set ahead of you. Without a dream , fulfilment isn't possible because you have no definite vision and mission …..

Good evening
Don't miss the next lessons for the next ten days ……..
God Bless you

Day Two : Lesson Two
'ISAAC LISTENED TO GOD'

It is a fact that new fights sometimes need change of tactics and possibly change of position but the truth is God is the mighty warrior and He has the final say .
Don't be too quick to make inferences and conclusions .
Isaac would have moved away from the land when the famine came had he not sought the face of God.
Learn to wait on God , hear from Him before taking the next move . The place might look like the end but God might be saying 'This is just the beginning "

Lesson Four : 'ISAAC WAS DESPISED BUT HE WASN'T DISCOURAGED'

Sometimes God allows oppositions to rise against us , not to kill us but to move us to our next level . Isaac was despised , he was rejected and sent out of the land but he summoned his courage , left his wells and farms and he moved on.
Just because you get fired or removed from a place doesn't spell the end or doom for you , simply move on and get going …..
Look into your life , career today , what's that thing you're expected to move away from for you to reach your next height ?

Good evening and Happy weekend

Day Five : Lesson Five
Monday 21st Sept
Genesis 26:19-21

''ISAAC DIDNOT STRUGGLE AT ESEK''

Isaac got a place other than where he was sent packing and he struck fresh water just in another well , i know he must have had the feeling of being fulfilled after going through the stress earlier , but something happened , he wasn't yet at his promised land , so his stay at esek is short lived. Most times in life we get to places and points in out life and journey and everything , sequence of events would seem just perfect for us , but in no time issues will begin to arise , don't be deterred , that's your Esek. Abraham also had his own fair share of the esek period in life Genesis 12:1-18

Both 'esek' and 'sitnah' in life are periods and places of temporary stay , they may look like a permanent above at first , but they aren't ,we need to learn how to discern well , so we can leave our esek and sitnah as soon as the time is up….

Don't give up : Ten lessons from the story of Isaac
Day Six : Lesson Six
Tuesday 22nd September
'ISAAC GOT TO REHOBOTH BUT HE DIDN'T QUIT TRYING'

After Isaac left Sitnah , no one quarreled or strove with him any longer , why
They thought they've taken the best of his labours from him ( the fresh water wells ) it can be deduced from the Bible there was no account of water at the well in Rehoboth but opposition and strive ended , he said to himself , 'there's no point rejoicing here because opposition has seized when I can't reach water so he couldn't settle for less that what God has in store for him , he is not only looking for a peaceful location , but a location with proper allocation. A position with proper Provision , so he moved away from Rehoboth , though no one quarrelled with him again ( Genesis 26:22 )

Sometimes in life we get to some place and we seem welcome ,but we aren't getting the Provision and allocation needed to fulfill purpose there , Don't settle there because it is only a place of temporary rest , not a permanent location. Never settle for anything less than God's will for you, , Keep moving

Good Morning
