The Association of Satellite Dealers and Installer of Nigeria in Collaboration with the National Broadcasting Commission of the Federal Government of Nigeria, is Organizing a two-day Workshop/Training on Switch Over from Analogue to Digital Broadcasting and Latest Satellite Equipment on Digital Broadcasting.

This event will cover members of Association of Satellite Dealers and Installer of Nigeria in Kaduna, Bauchi, and Plateau States. Other states chairmen and Secretaries are invited.

About NBC
The National Broadcasting Commission is a parastatal of the Federal Government of Nigeria, empowered to regulate the broadcasting industry by Act no. 38 of 1992 as amended by Act no. 55 of 1999. The Federal Government of Nigeria, in line with the recommendations of the Committee on National Mass Communications Policy, promulgated the enabling decree on August 24, 1992, This decree and its amendment have been adopted as Acts of the National Assembly numbers 38 and 55 in line with our present democratic status.

About ASSDIN
The Association of Satellite Dealers and Installer of Nigeria was established in 2011 with eight members board of trustees in Nigeria with the registration number CAC/IT/No:44206. The association founding members firmly and solemnly resolved to form themselves into a cooperate body, aware of the need to streamline the operation of the hitherto uncoordinated and unregulated activities of Satellite dealers and installers in Nigeria. Determine to set a standard for Satellite dealers and installers and lay down certain parameters and modus operandi for all Satellite dealers and installers in Nigeria. Dedicated to creating, inculcating maintaining and establishing honesty amongst satellite dealers and installers in Nigeria; between satellite dealers/installers and their clients (customers) on the one hand and between satellite dealers/installers and service providers on the second hand and between satellite dealers/installers and the Nigerian government and indeed the entire Nigerian society at large on the other hand.

Switching over won't be difficult for any local analogue broadcasting station. They will only change the modulator to Dvb-t or t2 depending on the choice and that's all. The transmitter is already UHF unless it does not have I.F or RF or ASI input. The antenna is UHF already, the EW20 wave guide is already their.
