Really don't know if this is the right place to put up this. Abeg Mods try do justice to this.
Here is a list, why some Nigerians use the car horn,in no particular order:

*To say Hello

*Call passengers

*Make traffic lights change from red to green

*To request thunder from the gods to fire someone

*To remind people of common sense.

If e never complete abeg do well to add your own......

@op, those and more reasons are the unfortunate uses of horn in Nigeria. This abnormality shows the level of irresponsibility that abound. Unwarranted blast of vehicle horns gives rise to noise pollution that inadvertently triggers off other types of ailments in some people's bodies. Needless to say that the human ear can cope with 85 decibels of busy city traffic noise. However, just for fun, some illiterate drivers blast their vehicle horns at will. When someone resides near a road junction or an area where women of easy virtues find rendezvous, one will easily notice the level of underexposure and mentality of our so called vehicle drivers/operators as it concerns bad use of vehicle horns. In the Europe/UK, I have stayed for more than 7+ days without hearing the blast of a vehicle horn save for ambulances. In fact, it has been shown that the level of noise one makes equals his cognitive development- "empty barrel makes the most noise"!.
