In its stride to provide equal education opportunities and adequately prepare students for entrance into the local and international healthcare markets, Healthnicon Nursing College South Africa is set to train more Health workers from Nigeria. Speaking through its National consultant, Mr Kehinde Olorunfemi, who is also the brain behind Valuemedic international, said the college is poised to continue to empower more people to become healthcare professionals. The next intake into the 6 months Community Health workers course is in November, with another intake set to commence in February. There will be a 3 months classroom work and 3 months internship there at the Cape town campus, said Lizka Potgieter who is the marketing coordinator of the Nursing college.

Healthnicon Nursing College was established in March 1995 – Then called “The Private Nursing School” – and was one of the first privately owned nursing schools in South Africa to be accredited by the South African Nursing Council (SANC). Earning the status as a Private Higher Nursing Education Institution over the years. Healthnicon is dedicated to training Healthcare professionals as Community Health Workers Short Course, Auxiliary Nurses, Enrolled Nurses as well as Registered Nurses. Recently they have also added additional short courses such as Geriatric Care, Pediatric Care and Orthopeadic care.
