The baby boy born at sea: Proud mother’s joy as she holds her new child days after she and her son were plucked from a sinking boat in the Mediterranean Nigerian Ester Terry went into labour as her dinghy began to take on water. The 24-year-old was crossing the Mediterranean on an overcrowded dinghy. Mother and baby are recovering in Catania's Cannizzaro hospital, in Italy. Get to Europe or Die trying, an act of desperation. She made it, she survived it but not everyone like her will live to tell the story. Looking at the tide of the wave, the swinging hither and tether of the dinghy and considering her condition. Like they say 'she was between the devil and the deep blue sea'. Thank God she made it to tell the story. I'll love to read her experience. |
