What is the effect of modernity on African Traditional religion and what is the effort of our youth in reviving the good part of it.

We have been told that our traditional 'religions' or spirituality were evil. 'They' succeeded in brainwashing us by pointing out the 'negatives' in our customs and magnified times a thousand. The religion that has caused the most damage in this world is Christianity, look at history for that.

All our traditional artifacts of worship and culture are abroad selling for prices in the thousands. Since Nigerians are all about money I think we should start by promoting these things, therefore making a demand for them and then gradually deprogramming Nigerian peoples minds about such things.

Hi My men, Money is just one of the idols worshipped here, but its not the totality of our people's(Nigerian) religion. we still have the supreme being which the people still recognise which makes us Nigerian. The effect of the faith is for positive projection of our race not exhibiting traits that belittle us. Wealth(Aje) is just one of our idols from the shrine but not the ultimate.

Blackpiest.
