Advice On Exporting A Car To Naija Or Buy From Coutonou? by ElRazur: 9:38am On Apr 13, 2009
Hello there guys. smiley

I am contemplating taking a car home from here. However, I have heard how cars can be heard for cheap money in Cotounou. Anyone here with experience of buying across the border from us?

I am after a best all rounder 4x4 and all along, my focus have been on a Mitsubishi Montero - 99 onwards shape. Is there something else I should be considering?

My criteria is something easy to run and probably low maintenance, preferably a car of Japanese origin and a lightweight 4wheel drive/all wheel drive/all terrain drive etc.

With buying a car here from either UK or Germany, I get to know the actual state of the car and can do a few stuff to it before it is shipped. However, with cotounou, I may have to buy with fingers crossed and hope it wont be a dud etc.

Thanks.
