Google Roll Out Google Pay Platform For Mobile Phones by akin33(m): 11:51am On Sep 20, 2015
When Google announced the availability of Android Pay few days ago, the company started rolling it out to devices in phases. On Friday, the company in a Google Plus post announced that its NFC-powered tap-to-pay payment platform is now available for download from the
Google Play Store , but initially for users in the US.
The search giant has, in the same vein, noted that Android Pay will be replacing the good old Google Wallet, and it’ll work on devices with Near Field Communicaton (NFC) running Android OS 4.4 or later.
All you have to do to use the tap-to-pay payment service is , add your credit/debit card, which should be from the four major payment networks: American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa. It’s worth noting that, former Google Wallet users will be able to access Android Pay through an update of their Wallet app.

Google Pay (also known as GPay) is a digital wallet tied to your Google account. You can send or request money with friends (like Venmo), use it in apps to pay for things, and use it at a store or restaurant with an Android phone or watch running Wear OS.
