The National Institute of Construction technology, Uromi which is the first of its kind in the Country, was established in July 2014 by the Federal Government of Nigeria in its efforts geared towards the development of the necessary skilled manpower which is in short supply in the country, especially in the construction sector. The activities of the Institute will lead to the creation of jobs for the youths and their ability to become employers of labour through skill acquisition premised on sound technical and vocational education. The Institute embraces Information Communication Technology (ICT) as an indispensible tool for contemporary education for tutoring and practical applications in Engineering and Environmental studies. PROGRAMMES The National Institute of Construction Technology, Uromi hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Institute’s Pre- National Diploma (Pre- ND) and Certificate programmes. The Pre-ND programme can serve as pre- requisite for courses in National Diploma offered by the Institute. The Certificate pogrammes shall satisfy demands for national and international certifications. Eligibility: 1) Only candidates who applied through JAMB for UTME admission with a score of 160 and above are eligible for this Screening Exercise. 2) A minimum of 5 credits in relevant subjects including English Language, Mathematics and Physics at not more than 2 sittings.
