The Abia State Government may need additional N25 billion to enable it offset salary and arrears of its workers and gratuities of the pensioners

The State chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Uchenna Obigwe, who made the disclosure at the union’s secretariat, in Umuahia, said that had the state got the N39 billion it applied for, that would have gone a long way in settling salaries, pensions and gratuity arrears of the workers, saying that after payment of salaries and pensions with the N14.1billion bailout approved by the federal government the state government may have another challenge............
