Last week Nigerians were stunned by a major political fiasco, a scene which is still putting most Nigerians in a dilemma. Nigeria has always being a politically fierce nation, but this time nobody expected what was coming.

The third most powerful man in the country (constitutionally anyways), the senate president, was summoned by the least funded court in the country, a court which has no representative in the N.J.C (Nigerian judicial council), and same court ordered his arrest. (THE PAWN)

Some people are having doubts now he is the third most powerful man in Nigeria, after all the President and his vice, washed their hands off the case. So whose hands are in it? (THE KNIGHT)

The intricacies of this delicate case has all finger pointed to a major power scheme about to envelop the country politically, because it was not long before the same senate president had his wife investigated by one of the corruption bodies in the country, and constitutionally his trial can only be approved by the chief justice of the federation, who is non-existent right now as the President is yet to make any appointments to that regard. To what aim one must ask, because this trial has power struggle written all over it.

Take for instance, when the senate president is removed, his deputy takes over. But in this case, two months earlier the deputy senate president has already been charged for tampering with the constitution. Are we bracing for a major power overhaul?

Meanwhile The Presidency is silent. (THE KING)
In a game of chess, as this obviously is looking like, ”the Pawnsy scheme” when the major chess’ moves are about to be made, the pawns are either sacrificed or moved out of the way. The risky thing is that, there are times when these pawns are overlooked they get to the end of the other side of the chess board, and grows into a knight!

Our politicians should thread carefully because Nigerians are watching…… keenly
