Candy9: It's an encouragement, like 'well done' and 'try your best' together, it doesn't have a direct English translation, maybe 'keep striving', and the usual answer to this is 'oh!' A direct translation would be roughly 'keep strong'. |

Just a clarification of some Igbo dialects Money: Ego, Egbege (Aro), Egbogo (Aro) Forest: Ovia, ohia Meat: Ani, Anu Bushmeat or Insult: Aniovia (Ani typically goes with Ovia rather than ohia), Anuohia To see: Avurum or Ahurum |

ifyalways: Yes they are. In Aro "v" and "h" are used instead of "f". For example: Ofe and Ovo, Ovia Ofia and ohia, ivuru ifuru and ihuru, Ihe and ife |

Cushion/Padding/Pad (noun) -- anyone? ezeagu:Don't you mean, lect? Accents are quite different from lects. . . accents would be the tones patterns (I would think. . ). |
