Fear of Buhari, shippers flee Nigerian en-masse.

Unknown to Kachikwu, Buhari is using him as his scapegoat if things backfire the way Joy Ogwu is being tarnished by Amala Sahara newspaper of Tinubu cool
So Buhari, not Joy Ogwu, planned Buhari's itinerary in New York? Some of you don't have sense, I swear.

Apparently, you do not see anything good in PMB, but yet you accuse me for seeing something good in him.

Elections are over. There is an important task of governance and making Nigeria better for all (both Wailers & Masturbators). You can keep your hate campaign till 2018/2019 when it will be understandable.
We have been through this road before, all former heads of states came with various policies and Nigerians cheered but we are a living testimony of their hand work. You that voted for Buhari will be the one to defend him till 2019 because those of us that understand these men of yesterday, know their hand work and no matter what you say,Buhari cannot take Nigeria beyond where his Generation of like-minded kind (all former heads of state)have taken it to.DECIEVE YOURSELF AS OUR FATHER"S DID!

But the previous president admitted that his generation has failed however Buhari decided he has not failed and is willing to prove it by doing things differently yet you are seeing all the wrong with the 'different' ways of doing things.

Am sure you are expecting to get better results for Nigeria different from what has been obtained from previous governments. I think it is only wise to do things differently from what they have been doing and it will definitely yield different results.

No matter how many heartbreaks you experience, you still find reasons to fall in love again.

Those of you who are Christians believe that Jesus is coming soon. Even though your fathers and the ones before them believed so and it never happened, yet you still believe.

My point is that you can't chose the path of despair even when things aren't working as you hoped they would. My optimism is measured and cautious, but yes I still believe.

I really do respect your response and i do believe that you are optimistic about the future and that is a good thing, but my conviction is firm and cannot be moved.I love you as a fellow citizen but i do not share your position. As long as we keep bringing our father"s generation as leaders,Nigeria will continue to suffer.

If the ministers and advisers are responsible for policies, why do you now blame PMB for a policy formulated by the GMD-NNPC.

Most countries have political parties that are driven by socialist & capitalist ideologies. The US has Democrats (S) & Republican (C). The UK has Labour (S) & Conservatives (C). Nigeria has APC (S) & PDP (C).

The difference in ideologies of these parties provide balance in the system. They both have their advantages & disadvantages, and the electorate will tend towards one depending on the exigencies of the time.
Politics in Nigeria isn't based on group of individuals with similar ideologies coming together to form a party and others who share same joining thereafter rather it's about joining/decamping to the winning party or any party that is willing to give you the ticket to run or even appointments.
APC cannot be said to be socialist cos it's the same politicians that we have just recycled under the #CHANGE mantra.

I never intended to make you shift your convictions. I'm sure they were formed by so many factors I may not understand and cannot influence.

I can assure you that the problem of Nigerian leaders has little to do with Age, but more to do with Character.

Rubbish, listen to people who know about oil,the indians are crying blue murder because they can't steal any more,i know that terminal as well as another one they have in delta state, they are very shady things they do there with there shipping, infact i am happy about this news because it only goes to show that the indians are been monitored

sunnyb0b0:
When we were shouting at the top of our voices that Buhari's obsolete dictatorial policy of bullying international shipping lines can never work, the masturbators and broom wielding herbalists said we were wailing, see where we are now. Nobody wants to lift our crude anymore. BUHARI IS BAD FOR THE ECONOMY!

I see Kachikwu resigning from NNPC soon if Buhari continues interfering with obsolete policies and blocking initiatives from Kachikwu.

Little wonder some people refer to him as "brain dead".

the 'letter of comfort' is the bone of contention here. it's like a note of undertaking that their vessels won't be involved in illegal activities which these carriers are not willing to undersign. the president has faults but this is not one of them

->Buhari should stop interfering with economic policies, that is not his work to do; rather, his ministers and advisers are the ones solely responsible for this.
->I have observed that Buhari is trying to convert Nigeria into a socialist country, and from lessons learnt from others that have practiced it, we all know that socialism doesn't grow an economy.
->Countries in modern time are trying to become purely capitalistic at the same time Nigeria is hurriedly depreciating into socialism. It is quite worrying to say the least.
ministerial list is out. keep calm

Just because PMB disagrees with specific policies, does it mean that he micromanages NNPC?

PMB believes that the Naira should not be devalued further, does that mean he micromanages CBN?

If an appointee of the president makes a good policy, the appointee takes credit but if he makes a not so good policy, It's the "dullard" that takes the blame.

Same was done to GEJ after all they appointed these people.

I agree with you that Character plays a major role in leadership,as a Christian,i have learned a lot in terms of Biblical teaching and documented history to know once a generation embraces a destructive philosophy, they can never make up for it.Buhari is of the old era, maybe the last of the Generals to hold a democratic leadership position,he might stay upright, say the right things, keep corruption low key,but he will not build anything different from his predecesors.I am not wishing him to fail,God forbid.I am just saying that i personally cannot see anyone from that generation with the ability to achieve geniune greatness except false greatness giving by those who believe that they must defend their votes(not you)regardles of facts that the leader is as good and bad as those before him.

Seems we all don't know how a Letter of Comfort operates, this is not a bad policy to me, it's just find a guarantor that will guarantee that you as the crude lifter will not divert our resource. I fear for Tomorrow, at this rate, hunger might starve her to death in the hands of we the (un)learning leaders of hers.

Yes it might, for a while.

These people are always making noise, there are so many indians in that part of our economy and some are cheating (of course not without the help of some black sheep of our "family"wink,

let the freighters charge what's profitable to them and not be hoping to beat the system.

Plus you never know, the refinery guys might just be crying foul to get some preferential treatment/leeway which I hope he do not get.

At worst the freight cost be borne (in some agreed ratio) by both parties.

Completely transparent crude trading aren't that easy to get and I hope it'll start with us.
Let's deal with this thing once and for all.

Would you all prefer excess of 250,000 barrels (N2 BILLION) be stolen everyday?

Do you guys know even multi national oil companies in Nigeria are part of the oil theft/bunkering -- and some have actually been indicted before?

Should we continue to allow such leakages unchecked because some 'indian buyers' (be wary) and their shippers prefer the old ways whereby they can 'collabo' to sabotage Nigeria?

Whence the system is purged and stable, serious countries will patronize us -- even in other non-oil sectors!

It is tough on everybody. Personally, my businesses in Nigeria are affected -- good things come with a price -- hopefully in time we get it right, 'cause it's tough as it is.

God bless you sir! All this sharp-sharp entrepreneurship everybody's running after now are needless if only we have a working system in place.

Our economy is so bad that people make "abnormal profits" and go give thanks giving.
What we need isn't the money per se.
It's the improved life that established and robust systems make possible.

Please don't compare the democrats/Republican party of the U.S and the Conservatives/Labour party of the UK with pdp and apc of Nigeria. The formers were formed based on ideologies, vision and an allowable checks and balance while the much latter was formed on what I haven't found the soothing expression for. If you think contrary, please prove it.

Ok then, i'll send you weapons to start crucifying him, if that would make you happy. Most Nigerians never turned on the former president till atleast 2 years of his administration.

No president made half as much promises or received half as much positivity as Buhari during their electionary campaign.
Re: Shippers Shun Lifting Nigeria’s Crude by iguita: 7:38am On Sep 30, 2015
Abegi, the Letter of Comfort' is to ascertain that the crude the ship is carrying is not stolen. While we know that Nigerian authorities can be corrupt, this one more requirement is not enough for shippers to say they don't want to carry oil except of course they have something to hide. I'd not be surprised though.
