I hope its just me or just my imagination. Why do most New houses in Nigeria painted cream/butter color. Cant anyone come up with a different color scheme. Seem that there is still a huge vacumm of creative minds  I hope i am wrong. What do u guys think? 1 Like |

It boils down to a lack of creativity and herd mentality where every house looks like the one next door. Most of the color schemes are also chosen by the home owners and not by designers. There is also an absolute lack of landscapping in Nigerian house designs. Contrast that with jurisdictions where home owners are required to plant a tree as part of the new home approval process. Those florida style palm trees will look nice in most Nigerian homes. |
