Direct Africa Network LLC, an industry leading entertainment content provider,
is seeking a Research Analyst to support the Production, Sales and Marketing
teams across all distribution platforms, including broadcast, cable, digital,
syndication and SVOD.
Analytics team focuses on growing and engaging Direct Africa Network LLC’s
user base. We are looking for an Analyst who is passionate about online
advertising, sales strategy, and the user experience. The Analyst role provides an opportunity to solve highly analytical problems and translate those solutions into actionable business strategies. The role is highly cross-functional and will require coordination with product, marketing, sales, and data sciences. Analysts work on a variety of projects such as monetizing new initiatives within the revenue space; launching national marketing campaigns utilizing Email and Television; and turning insights into real products with our engineering teams.

The Research Analyst will transform data into actionable insights and provide
consultative value to internal and external clients. This will be done through
timely data and ratings analysis on the performance of SPT and competitor
product, as well as being knowledgeable in a broad range of market intelligence
on the evolving television industry as a whole.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical abilities, communication skills,
experience working with large data stores. This position is allows for home

Responsibilities:
 Leveraging your analytical abilities to look beyond the numbers and
understand how our members interact with our website
 Design and implement test (A/B and multivariate) to understand drivers
of user engagement and revenue
 Generate break-through analytical insights and translate them into
actionable business strategy
 Actively mine data from our SQL databases to develop predictive models
 Support ongoing analysis of business performance

Key responsibilities will include:
 Developing and writing analyses, presentations and performance sheets
on key products – both internal and competitive
 Providing ad-hoc ratings analysis to support sales and creative executives
 Identifying and disseminating business intelligence and trends happening
in the US television market and greater entertainment landscape
 Support primary research projects, i.e. focus groups and panel
questionnaires

Qualifications:
 One or more years of research experience in a television or media
environment
 Must be highly numerate and have ability to analyse audience research
data and provide ratings analysis.
 Must be a proactive, motivated, highly organized and a self-starter with
strong attention to detail
 Passion for television and entertainment industry
 Strong writing skills a must
 Highly proficient in use of MS Word, Excel (including Macros) and
PowerPoint
 Team player with ability to work independently
