Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has expressed his displeasure over the educational situation of the country in the last 55 years.

He lamented on his twitter handle that though Nigerians had made more progress for the country but at 55 the total population of out of school children in Nigeria is more than the combined populations of Switzerland, Monaco & Greenland.

He said, “We are presently 170 million people and we cannot feed ourselves. What will happen when we hit 400 million in 2050? Who will feed us? These are some inconvenient truths that Nigeria has to consider as we celebrate our 55th anniversary.

However, Bruce wished all Nigerians a happy 55th anniversary and prayed for Nigeria's greatness but more importantly her greatness.
