Since first October 1960!  Whether things are going well or whether it seems the world is about to come to an end, Naija expresses it all! Naija is written in several ways, such as Nanja, 9ja! etc… lol  Nigerians are confident people - proud of our culture and identity, industrious, hard-working, ingenious and great survivors even though Nanja can be extremely frustrating, annoying and inefficient. See the upstairs they live on that photo (beautiful house)  So What does 9ja Mean?
