Fast go the days We oft get caught up in the race So much that we lose touch of why we're here in the first place We get busy trying to survive yet forget to live Give our lives to the struggle and then wish we lived a little longer when it's time to leave Live the life you love, I know this to be true But I'm about to get caught up in the mess too The future gets scarier the closer it gets Made love with tomorrow and worry is what it beget Yesterday introduced me to today, we've not been friends since we met Yet they say live your life the way it comes, no regrets Wish someone prepared me for the storm I see coming ahead They say life's a bi^tch, so why is it so hard getting a-head? The sky is your springboard, I remember they told me so Now I've made it to the sky and it's telling me "this is as high as you go" If life's a poem then I'm stuck in the first stanza Can someone flip the lyrics please? Because I'm not taking no for an answer There has to be more to life than this You can try but you can't take my will to fight It's been years of downs but I take a stand tonight Bright light in sight despite the slight fright Just got to fight tight To make the flight to the right height I'm on a journey, chasing the dreams I left behind But this time, I won't stop till the world is mine. *Musings of a youth corps member passing out in two weeks* 3 Likes 3 Shares |
