The thing about English. I am tired!!!

Ok, let us begin with the word BOX; the plural is BOXES.
But the plural of OX IS OXEN, not OXES, why

One fowl is GOOSE, and two are called GEESE,
Yet the plural of MOOSE is never MEESE. Why

We speak of MOUSE, or a house full of MICE.
But two 'HOUSE' is called HOUSES, not HICE, why

The plural of MAN is always MEN, but the plural of PAN is never PEN. Why?
If I speak of FOOT, and you show me two FEET, if I give you a BOOK, would the pair be BEEK??

If one is TOOTH, and a whole set is TEETH, why shouldn’t two BOOTHS be called BEETHS?
If the singular is ‘THIS’, and the plural - ‘THESE’. Shouldn't the plural of KISS be KEESE?

We speak of a BROTHER and also of BRETHREN. Though we say MOTHER, we never say METHREN. Why

Then the masculine pronouns are: HE, HIS, and HIM. In this same pattern, why don’t we say: SHE, SHIS, SHIM

If the singular is SHEEP and the plural remains SHEEP, why doesn't the plural of PEEP remain PEEP instead of PEEPS or SHIP remains SHIP instead of SHIPS??

If the plural of PHOTO is PHOTOS and the plural of ZERO is ZEROS, why should I add “e” to the plural of POTATO to become POTATOES, and HERO – HEROES
