THE world’s greatest entertainer used to be Michael Jackson. Michael was born black but hated his skin, like, he himself cannot find an adjective for. He spent a fortune, running away from his skin, his colour.

Today, he must be having second thoughts because black is in. On the continent and in the diaspora, the world is celebrating the blacks who are making waves in their chosen fields.

Talk about the head of the most powerful country in the world, he is black Barack Obama - born to a Kenyan father . Also, head of the American Republican National committee is a black man.

It is not an all male idea. In fact, the media world is dominated by Oprah Winfrey, a media Mogul with tremendous influence.

The list seems endless. Tiger Woods is the world’s greatest golfer while the Williams sisters, Venus and Serena continue to dominate the world’s Tennis court. The fastest car racer in the world is Lewis Hamilton, a black man while Mike Tomlin of Pittsburg Steelers is the super bowl winning coach.

The fastest human being on earth, according to available records is Michael Bolt, proudly black. The world’s brightest Astrophysicist is Neil de Crasse Tyson, while the highest Grossing actor is Samuel L. Jackson, also a black man.

Imagine all of that plus the fact that the world’s greatest brain surgeon is black.
Keith L. Black, MD, serves as Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery and Director of the Maxine Dunitz Neurosurgical Institute at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He also holds the title of Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery. An internationally renowned neurosurgeon and scientist, Dr. Black joined Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in July 1997 and was awarded the Ruth and Lawrence Harvey Chair in Neurosciences in November of that year.

Wacko Jacko must be missing now, all those millions, spent running from his skin, gone down the drain.

What a waste! Black, surely is in.
