HAVE A BREAK. ACTUALLY, HAVE TWO
It's very easy to get to work and just power through the entire day without taking a break. Especially when we're extremely busy and have impending deadlines, it's tempting to sit at our desk from dusk till dawn without rising for a lunch break. When we do this, despite us feeling like we've had a productive day, we are actually not optimising our mind and body for full effectiveness. It is recommended by doctors and lifestyle experts that regular breaks during a work day are essential for staying fresh, sharp and better able to carry out all the days' tasks.
Short breaks for a quick snack or just to stretch our legs for 5 minutes help break the monotony of staring at a computer screen and can work wonders to revitalise our mind and body. If you have trouble forming the habit of taking breaks, then maybe the sight of a can of nuts on your desk can act as a reminder to get up and chew something as you clear your head for a few minutes. Nuts are a great source of vitamin E which help boost brainpower and eating them while breaking will help ensure that your lengthy hours at the office are truly productive and free from undue mistakes that come with long, unbroken stretches of work.
