Lagos – Samuel Oluwadare, the Nigerian Ambassador to the World Education Games (WEG) on Wednesday urged education stakeholders to participate in the competition, which holds from Oct. 13 to Oct. 15.

‎Oluwadare, of the Xplanter Group of Schools, Ikorodu, Lagos, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that WEG, an online global competition, was the biggest event in the world education calendar.

NAN reports that Oluwadare, an SS 1 student, emerged as one of the 2015 WEG ‎Ambassadors, being one of the top winners of the 2014 Nigerian Mathematics Challenge (NMC).

He said that WEG ‎was designed by 3p Learners, UNICEF, in conjunction with GLAN Consulting, to raise education standard. He stressed that failure rate in Nigeria is abysmal and terribly disturbing. He urged Nigerian students to embrance Mathletics via GLAN CONSULTING.

According to him, the competition will also create awareness and fun in mathematics, English Language, and Science, in the country.

Oluwadare said that the competition would accommodate students within the ages of 4 to18, and relatively free.
